Song of the Week: How Deep Is Your Love by Calvin Harris and Disciples
Calvin never lets us down – this song just came out this month, and its probably going to go mainstream soon, but let’s enjoy it while its still fresh.
Cocktail of the Week: The John Daly
What is it? Basically, Arnold Palmer + alcohol (= yum!!)

There are a lot of variations of this drink, but here’s our fave:
What you need:
- iced tea
- basil for garnish
What to do:
- Grab an ice cube tray, and pour your lemonade into the tray – let freeze over night.
- Fill the serving glasses with the your lemonade ice cubes. Add vodka to your liking, and fill up the rest of the glass with iced tea.
- Mix together and garnish with basil.

Song of the Week: Waterbeds – The Chainsmokers
I cannot for the life of me decipher what this song means or what they are even saying most of the time, but who cares! It’s just SO good. I’ve been listening to this non-stop this week and will continue to do so until my ears fall off… or maybe when I buy a waterbed (which will actually be never). Happy listening!
Cocktail of the Week:
And to send you happily on your way to weekend bliss, we are bringing you a cocktail of the week to sip alongside this week’s playlist. This week we are featuring the elusive Cucumber Collins.
- gin (splurge on something good here)
- cucumbers (three 1/4 inch thick slices)
- seltzer (chilled, of course)
- limeade or simple syrup
- mint (optional)
In a large pitcher (or glass, if you are making for one), muddle your three cucumber wheels – here’s where you would add the mint – muddle it on in there. (Wait, what’s muddling? It’s easier than you think. Learn more here!) Add the ice, lemon juice, lime juice, gin, seltzer, and limeade or simple syrup to taste. Enjoy somewhat responsibly 🙂

Song Spotlight of the Week: waves by Miguel – Oh wow, welcome back Miguel. After a year or two in hibernation, he’s emerged with such a great summer album. The whole album is amaze, but waves is certainly a standout – SUCH a good summer jam. Don’t leave for the beach without this song!
